Scryve

The Scryve are powerful six limbed beings, and the dominant species in this part of the Milky Way galaxy. And for some distance beyond, though none of the other known species are sure of the extents of their Empire, or even its duration. What is known is that for at least the past ten thousand years or so, the Scryve have been the major force in the area, sweeping up other alien species into their Empire willingly or not.

Current evidence suggests the Scryve Empire is beginning to fray at the edges. Various branches of it seem unsure what the others are doing, and their command over their ward species is not as irontight as their overbearing language might suggest. Dominant in this sector of space, the Scryve have a wide arsenal of ships at their disposal.

Scryve Probe

The Scryve Probes are sent out throughout the galaxy to reveal primitive forms of Alien life to extinguish or absorb them into the Scryve Empire. Weak and poorly armed, the Probe is intended to alert other Scryve ships the location of other aliens, rather than engage them directly. The Scryve Probe is armed with a Scout Shot and the ability to self destruct which deals large damage to any ships caught in the blast radius.

Scryve Scout

The Scryve Scout serves a reconnaissance role for the Scryve Empire as the bulk of their forces offset mobility for raw power and durability. The Scryve Scout is fast and nimble, as is equipped with a short range Scout Shot and medium range Death Ray, which is a powerful beam weapon that presents the Scout from turning. The low battery pool of the Scryve Ship prevents it from maintaining its Death Ray for long, unlike heavier Scryve ships.

Scryve Cruiser

A Scryve cruiser.

The Scryve Cruiser makes up the bulk of the Scryve's navy, and is the main instrument of inflicting the Empire's will. Powerful and slow moving, the cruiser is armed with a Death Ray which while deadly, prevents the cruiser from turning while firing, presenting an interesting tactical challenge for Scryve Legates. This limitation is somewhat compensated by the ship's Flak Cannons which can menace anyone who gets too close to the cruiser.

Scryve Dreadnought

The Scryve Dreadnought is one of the most powerful ships in this region of the galaxy, used in reserve for defense of Scryve worlds and deployed when more elite forces are required. The Scryve Dreadnought is incredibly tough and comes equipped with a Heavy Death Ray, which offers more damage, range and radius compared to the Scryve Cruiser. The Scryve Dreadnought is also equipped with Flak Cannons which are crucial for deflecting assaults by enemy ships at close range.
