The Black Spathi Squadron is a legendary band of rogue Spathi who overcame their race's natural cowardly nature and dedicated themselves to wandering space and "performing brave and hostile deeds", painting their Eluders black with bright red stripes in order to distinguish themselves from the normal, cowardly Spathi.
